Your eyes are the windows to your soul and they are the first things that a person notices about you and making them look beautiful is the key to successful makeup. A good eye makeup application is an art form it’s all about knowing what you have and how best to enhance it, before thinking about any color application you really need to look closely at your eyes in order to achieve a great eye makeup application:
Small Eyes: Probably the biggest problem when it comes to eye makeup techniques for women is that they don’t know how to minimize or enhance the shape. If you have small eyes curl the lashes to make them look more open. Applying a creamy white pencil along the inner rim will help to create the illusion of larger eyes and make your eyes pop.
Round eyes: For those who have large, round eyes avoiding the hard eyeliner look is going to be key as this will only draw attention to the roundness, instead to create a less intense look, eye liner should be applied to the inner rim of the eye which will have a shrinking effect on the eye shape, creating a nice cat like effect and by only applying mascara to the top lashes this will also help to elongate the eye.
Close set eyes: . Avoid shading or creating a smoky effect at the outer corner of the eye,or applying eyeliner all around the eye. Instead apply a highlighter in the corner of the eye, which will help to give the illusion of space between the eyes
Heavy eye lids: Great eye makeup tips for heavy lids, is to line your eyes with an eyeliner brush. The liner on the upper lash line should be thicker and stronger then on the lower lash line and blend out at the corners to give the eye lift. A properly shaped brow will also help to open the eyes, eyebrow shape is essential for heavy hooded eyes. Try to avoid an arch effect as this will accentuate heavy lids, instead go for a straighter brow shape with a slight arch and define your brows with a powder shadow to add definition.
It is important to note that whatever your eye shape is, never do things in half on the eye area, if you apply makeup halfway across the eye this ends up looking like you have cut the eye in half and will make it look distorted.
Under Eye Circles: There are no products that will permanently lighten these shadows, but there are ways to lift the color. The best mineral foundation to apply over this area is one that has a pink or peach undertone which will help to highlight the area. A dab of bright pastel pink or peach blusher on the cheeks will also help to steer the eyes away from the dark circles
Non existent lashes: If you have small or thinning eyelashes apply two to three very thin coats of very black mascara to your lashes, layering is much more effective then applying one thick coat. Another tip is to draw a smudged line along the length of the lash line, which will help to create the look of fuller thicker lashes. False eyelashes are also a great addition to use especially on special occasions
